People like Audra Petraškienė, a resident of a small Lithuanian town, don’t hesitate to stop by to help an animal in danger.
She was driving when she saw a puppy on the side of the road shivering and soaking wet. Audra pulled over to see what had caused the puppy to lie motionless there, which she had to witness was worse than she could have imagined.

It was evident that someone had put this device on him and left it in the water with the aim of drowning him. Just thinking about what the little dog had to go through that somehow managed to drag the anchor onto the road, saving her own life, made Audra cry .
She grabbed the poor, terrified pup, cleaned him up, and took him to a vet for any necessary checkups.\
Despite having been completely wet and not knowing how long it was in those conditions, the vet after examining it determined that the puppy was in perfect health.
Audra, however, continued to be disturbed by the situation and decided to file a complaint with the police.
In addition, he published the event on his social networks, looking for someone who could provide him with a little information. She added photos of the puppy that turned out to be very noble and kind, which made her feel even more indignant.

The publication went viral and a short time later someone who claimed to be the owner of the puppy communicated with concern.
“The person who claimed to own it seemed to be a good person and to love the dog,” Audra said.
However, she decided to leave him in an animal shelter while the case is investigated, since it is unknown who was responsible for such a terrible act and if his owner could do something to prevent it from happening.

Having a pet is not a game and the person in charge of taking care of it must do so responsibly.
