When the elderly dog learned he had met his owner after spending four years at the shelter, he leaped for excitement.

All dogs deserve a life where they never lack for anything and can count on the support of a loving family.

Unfortunately, people who are older and in a shelter often have to wait for years and in many cases , no one is willing to give them a second chance . This seems to be the fate of a cute little dog named Dreadlock .

The puppy lives in Phuket town, Thailand.

The film is about a cute hybrid dog rescued from the street by  the Soi Dog Foundation. He has many skin problems and the harsh life on the street has severely affected his entire coat .

Everything was so messy and dirty that it caused him serious health problems . Volunteers spent hours bathing him and cutting off all of his shaggy coat.

The Dreadlock got better after a few months, but its fur never grew back.

It seemed like the perfect time to start a new life , but everyone turned a blind eye to Dreadlock . He’s a healthy, happy, and calm dog, but he has to watch hundreds of puppies leave the shelter while he continues to spend the night in his cage .

When I had lost all hope , the time had come. Someone came looking for a calm dog, and rescuers know who the perfect puppy is.

Dreadlock was adopted when he had been at the shelter for four years.

Due to his age, Dreadlock is very calm. He doesn’t need constant games and although he’s very emotional , he doesn’t show emotions unless it’s a very special moment.

As soon as they heard his story, the family was moved and decided to take him home . The sweet little dog who was always so relaxed seemed beside himself with excitement when he was told the good news.

“Its beautiful. I don’t understand how it took so long to find a family.”

He decided to celebrate in style and when he met his new father he began to jump from one side to the other in a funny dance . Somehow, this crafty little dog had understood that this was the moment he had been waiting for so long .

He began to bark and even seemed to be lovingly thanking someone for noticing him after so many years .

“He was so happy. Thanks for going through it. He deserves it.”

This beautiful pup is sure to have a great time with his new family and will finally be able to know what it’s like to have a home. His story helps us to remember how important it is to adopt older puppies to give them their final years of life filled with joy.
